  • Day 1: Western slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro

    On arrival at Ndarakwai Ranch Camp your walking guide will meet you. Ndarakwai Ranch is a privately owned 10,200 acre reserve, home to a variety of game. Depending on your arrival time, enjoy a walk in the late afternoon. A night game-drive on the ranch is available at an additional cost. Overnight Ndarakwai Ranch Camp in a raised tent with a thatched roof and verandah with en-suite facilities. Accommodation is on a full board basis.

    Day 2: Western slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro

    After an early breakfast you leave camp with a packed lunch and water bottles. Today's walk takes you through the volcanic hills on the ranch and into the adjacent Maasai community, a area with views of the Ngorongoro Highlands. Game you are likely to see includes Elephant, Zebra, Giraffe, Eland, Lesser Kudu, Gerenuk, Impala, Grants Gazelle, Dikdik, Warthog, Baboon, and Vervet Monkey.

    Arrive in camp mid to late afternoon to find the crew in the final stages of setting up camp. Overnight at the walking camp in a tent with adjacent facilities. Accommodation is on a full board basis.

    Day 3: Western slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro

    Up before sunrise - the very best time to see Kilimanjaro. Today's walk takes you through game areas and Maasai villages with the opportunity to observe traditional life and purchase local handicrafts. Your guides are Maasai and will be able to provide a unique insight into the life of the local communities. Each day a shady spot is chosen for your picnic. Rest during the hottest part of the day. Arrive in camp mid to late afternoon to find the crew in the final stages of setting up camp. Overnight at the walking camp in a tent with adjacent facilities. Accommodation is on full board basis.

    Day 4: Western slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro

    An early morning wake-up to visit the Maasai people as the livestock are leaving for the day. Enjoy the day walking with views of Kenya's Amboseli National Park. Arrive in camp late afternoon. Overnight at the walking camp in a tent with adjacent facilities. Accommodation is on a full board basis.

    Day 5: Western slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro

    After breakfast, transfer back to Ndarakwai Camp for your onward arrangements. Services end upon arrival at Ndarakwai Camp.
