All the main areas are complimented by log fires, which enhance the atmosphere. The hotels unique design continues into the restaurant and bar, with magnificent examples of prehistoric cave paintings etched into the walls. Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge is set high on a hill with breathtaking vistas of sweeping grasslands and the unspoiled wilderness landscape of the Serengeti plains. The Serengeti is a natural paradise and home to one of the greatest wildlife spectacles on, the annual migration of Wildebeest, Zebra and Gazelle.
The lodge is inspired by a traditional African village, separate rondavel 'huts' house the luxury guest rooms that have their own view of the vast Serengeti plains. A delightful water feature runs through the main public areas and towards the restaurant, dining and bar area guests are let through open corridors with rich Africa carving and high roofs.

The lodge also has a boutique where curios, clothes and a variety of other items can be bought. There are 66 guest rooms all with en suite showers and a private balcony. The uniquely crafted bedroom units maximize the use of local materials in order to blend in with the surroundings.
