Ten spacious tents under thatch each have a viewing deck and en-suite hand basin, private w.c. and a shower open to the starlit sky. Furnished with vibrant décor the accommodation brings alive the excitement and romance of Africa. An open-fronted dining area, a lounge area and domed bar all in colourful décor with unusual beaded, antique artefacts make up the main guest area. There is also a plunge pool on the banks of the river and a spacious deck from which to enjoy sundowners whilst watching pods of Hippo at play. A special feature is the sheltered boma where star-studded romantic dinners are served. Twice daily game drives in open game viewing vehicles in the Serengeti National Park will bring guests close to game that abounds all year round, whilst keen birders almost always exceed their sighting targets. Day trips to lake Victoria for fishing can be arranged at an additional cost and subject to availability of vehicles. Three overnights at Grumeti River Camp in a luxury tent with en suite facilities including hand basin, private w/c and outdoor shower. Accommodation is on a full board basis including scheduled activities. Activities include game-drives in the Serengeti National Park. Day trips to Lake Victoria are available at an additional cost and may be booked directly at the lodge, subject to availability of vehicles. Days 6 & 7: Ngorongoro Crater Conservation AreaEnjoy an early morning game-drive and breakfast before your scheduled flight to Manyara Airstrip. A representative from Ngorongoro Crater Lodge will meet you for your transfer, 2 hours and 30 minutes, to the lodge. Each sumptuous suite is discreetly tended by a personal butler, who will bring you tea in bed, stoke your fireplace and even draw your bath, scattering the water with rose petals, ready for your return from your safari and a sumptuous picnic on the crater floor. |
