Wild & Natural Southern Tanzania Tour
(Must be Monday based on current air schedule - please check prior to booking).
You will be met on arrival at Dar-es-Salaam, assisted with formalities and transferred to the internal flights terminal for your light aircraft flight to the Selous Game Reserve, the largest and wildest in Africa. You will be welcomed and taken on a short game drive to Selous Safari Camp. Set under a canopy of beautiful trees on the bank of a tributary of the Rufiji River, there are superb views of the blue African hills.
The camp is small, personal and very comfortable, with each luxury tent mounted on a raised platform, giving panoramic views but maximum privacy. There is a swimming pool for cooling off, excellent food and a well-stocked bar. Game-drives are featured in open 4x4 vehicles or walking with a guide, or by boat. Overnight at The Selous Safari Camp (Lunch and Dinner only).
Days 2 & 3:
Participate in game-drives, walking or boat safaris at the Selous Safari Camp (full board).
Day 4: (Thursday)
You will be transferred to the airport for your scheduled flight to the remote and unspoiled Ruaha National Park, one of the largest in Africa. On arrival you will be met and driven to Mwagusi Safari Camp, a small personalised camp with only 8 tents. Mwagusi Safari Camp features solar power and even the water tanks are concealed with thatched grass.
The pace of life slips down to almost zero on the banks of the sand river under tall shady trees. Wildlife is abundant, you may see Kudu, Roan and Sable, Eland, Elephant, Buffalo, Hunting Dog, Lion, Leopard, Cheetah, Zebra, Giraffe, Impala, and many other fauna as well as fascinating bird life. Overnight Mwagusi Safari Camp (full board).
Days 5 - 7:
Enjoy game drives or walks in Ruaha National Park amongst the vast wilderness. Overnight Mwagusi Safari Camp (full board).
Day 8: (Monday)
After breakfast, you will be driven to the airstrip for the scheduled flight to Dar-es-Salaam (Breakfast and Lunch only).
