Mara Simba, Masai MaraSituated in the Masai Mara National Reserve, Mara Simba was conceived, not as an overnight stop but as a safari resort. The emphasis is on exclusivity and comfort, the ambience is Maasai, and the décor incorporates ethnic design elements from the culture of the proud tribe in whose realm the lodge is set. The grounds extend almost a kilometer along the Talek River. The river bank is left in it's natural state, while further back the lush landscaped gardens of indigenous plants and trees, attract a variety of birds and butterflies. The public areas overlook the Talek River and have floors of cedar wood decking, elevated on timber posts and are shaded by high makuti palm thatch roofs. |
