Take time out to relax when on your safari in Kenya. Indulge in a host of beauty treatments such as massages and facials by a full time beautician at Shompole Lodge, especially after your safari in Kenya, which can be quite tiring.

The experience and skills of the Maasai guides and trackers play an important part in the experience that is offered for your safari in Kenya. The area is home to a great deal of bird and animal life including Lion, Leopard, Cheetah, Hippo, Aardwolf, Civet, Bat-eared Fox, Serval, regular sightings of Wild Dog, striped and spotted Hyena, Eland, Zebra, Oryx and Giraffe among others.

In addition, guests can take the opportunity of mixing and finding out more about the Maasai people, visit the local market and villages and take part in any festivities or celebrations that might be taking place.

Over the past few years, Shompole has had the privilege of hosting several wedding parties. Whether it be an intimate occasion against the backdrop of the African sunset, or a vibrant, celebratory event that incorporates traditional Maasai warriors to guide you down the isle, Shompole will ensure a memorable experience from the wedding vows to the menu.

Guests will also have ample time to relax and enjoy the facilities of the lodge itself while on their safari in Kenya. Shompole is conveniently located for many different itineraries including those that visit Amboseli and the Maasai Mara.

You can enjoy a short private charter flight (30 mins) from Nairobi, the Mara or Amboseli or take a breath-taking drive from the heights of Nairobi down the escarpment, across the floor of the Great Rift Valley encountering Lake Magadi which is about 4 hours driving from Nairobi.
