This partnership is aimed at encouraging the conservation of wildlife and the habitat of the area. The area at this Kenya lodge is home to many species of animal and bird life and includes one of the most ecologically diverse areas in Africa.

The environments at this Kenya lodge range from rainforests, through Acacia woodland, grass plains, riverine forest, salt plains and soda lakes. There is also an abundance of plains game and night animals that can be frequently seen, they include Aardwolf, Civet, Serval, Leopard and Striped Hyena. Elephant, Lion and Cheetah may be found in the swamp and grassy plains, while the birdlife is varied and plentiful.

This Kenya lodge lies on the edge of the Great Rift Valley and is a creation of the imagination. Constructed to emphasise the beauty of natural materials, this Kenya lodge combines flowing water and smooth white walls. This Kenya lodge is a truly unusual and exquisite destination. Enjoy a relaxing and spacious wilderness experience at this award-winning Kenya lodge.

    Child Policy:

Shompole Lodge would like to advise that the design of Shompole is very open to the environment, with small pools and steep sides and is therefore only suitable for children under strict parental supervision.

It would be appreciated if parents would show consideration to other guests where children are concerned. Early dinners are provided for children and a child-minding service for your convenience.

    Malaria Precautions:

This is a malaria area and guests should take the necessary precautions.
